The first iPod touch is if not the most easy platform to jailbreak as it does not check for signing within
the kernel. These checks, or lack thereof allow unsigned code such as Cydia to be ran without any patching
allowing the user to run any software as they wish basically off the bat.
Remember, this will only work on an iPod Touch 1G and no other platform, so it should not be run on them.
The simplist way to jailbreak your iPod Touch is to use ZiPhone, an original jailbreaking application created
by Zibri. The first step is to download the tool for your OS.

There are a few options but you need not pay attention to them as you are jailbreaking your iPod Touch 1G.
Make sure you have the version 1.1.4. If you have anything installed it will need to be restored, so make sure
you make a fresh installation of firmware 1.1.4 regardless of which version you have (download from firmwares section
and put your iPod Touch into DFU (?) mode to recover via itunes.
Done? Good, From here it is fairly simple. Keep your iPod Touch in standard mode and plug it into your USB interface.
What you should do next is hit the "Jailbreak" button, careful not to hit any others, and it will attempt to put your iPod touch
into DFU mode using a simple exploit and try to install the cracked firmware.
If any problems occure, go into DFU again and restore with itunes, there is no hardware risk in this operation. If it is successful,
then congratulations! You should have an 'installer' icon on your iPod. Use it to install BSD Subsystems if it already doesn't (important) and
Install OpenSSH to allow access to your iPod's files, But you can't do this if you don't have wifi.
